I am extremely honored and excited to have been selected the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Black Contractors Association, and I am boundlessly grateful to the men and women who assembled less than five years ago to form this dynamic organization.

Since our inception, we have been committed to positioning Black construction firms for success in the region by developing their skills, marketing their companies, and empowering contractors to succesfully compete for construction contracts in both the public and private sectors. As your chairman, I will continue to fulfill our mission, however, I will also implement new initiatives in an effort to sustain our future as a viable association and voice in the construction industry.

Although the organization is comprised of contractors, it also consists of architects, consultants, program managers, accountants, and many other affiliations within the construction industry. While changing the perception of black entrepreneurs, we are also striving to change the perception of black contractors. Black contractors are professional people with a vast amount of experience that has been untapped.

It is our duty as an organization to ensure the equity of opportunities is shared among the Black Contractors Association. We represent all contractors—locally and globally. As Black Contractors, each of our challenges affects us all. Through our cooperative efforts, influence, knowledge and genuine appreciation for inclusion, we know that we are destined for greatness.
